Coordinating Minister Airlangga Reports Realization Of KUR Reach Rp148 Trillion Until August 2, 2021
JAKARTA - Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto said that the realization of People's Business Credit (KUR) until August 2, 2021 had reached Rp148.08 trillion.
"This amount is equivalent to 51.96 percent of the target set for this year, which is IDR 285 trillion," he said in a virtual press conference on Thursday, August 5.
Airlangga added that the number of KUR realizations until early August had been given to 3.99 million debtors.
"So the outstanding KUR since August 2015 is 272.81 trillion with the NPL (non-performing loan/non-performing loan ratio) maintained at the level of 1.02 percent," he said.
To note, in the past year the realization of financing for the category of micro to medium entrepreneurs was stated at 198.53 trillion. This book exceeds the set target, which is IDR 190 trillion or around 104.49 percent.
On that occasion, Airlangga also expressed his views regarding the economic growth rate in the second quarter of 2021, which reached 7.07 percent on an annual basis or year-on-year.
According to him, Indonesia's economic growth in the second trimester of this year was better than a number of countries, such as Vietnam with 6.6 percent, India, 1.6 percent, South Korea 5.9 percent, and even Japan with minus 1.6. percent.
“This shows that various domestic economic indicators continue to show improvement. In the future, the government will continue to take strategic steps to maintain domestic economic resilience," concluded Coordinating Minister Airlangga.
