Malut DPRD Deputy Examined Suspect Of Violence To Polantas Examined, Admits His Actions
JAKARTA - Police questioned the Deputy Chair of the North Maluku DPRD, WZI, after being named a suspect of violence or threats of violence against traffic officers. During the examination, WZI admitted all his actions.
"WZI has admitted to his actions and admitted that he was wrong," said Head of Public Relations of the North Maluku Regional Police, Kombes Adip Rojikan, in his statement, Thursday, August 5.
In addition, during the examination that took place this morning, investigators asked 29 questions. The investigation took place at the Directorate of Criminal Investigation of the North Maluku Police.
"In addition to WZI, investigators have also examined 8 people consisting of 6 witnesses including victim witnesses, witnesses who witnessed directly, as well as witnesses as clues as well as 2 criminal and forensic expert witnesses," said Adip.
Then, in handling this case, investigators also confiscated evidence in the form of a Vellfire car with the police number DB 1314 MM. This car was used by WZI to hit the victim.
"The next stage that will be carried out by investigators is to file and send Phase 1 files to the public prosecutor, for the actions committed, WZI violated Articles 211 and 212 of the Criminal Code with a threat of 4 years in prison," said Adip.
The Deputy Chairperson of the North Maluku DPRD with the initials WZI was named a suspect in a criminal act of violence or threats of violence against traffic officers.
"Based on the results of the case title, the WZI status of the witness was raised to suspect, and a status transfer determination has been issued with Number: S.Tap/12.b/VII/2021/Ditreskrimum dated July 26, 2021 regarding the increase in the status of a WZI suspect and a maximum criminal penalty of four years in prison," said Adip.
