15 Children In Orphanage In Medan Exposed To COVID-19
MEDAN - A total of 15 children who live in the Happy Children Orphanage, Jalan Tobacco Raya, Mangga Village, Medan Tuntungan District, Medan City, North Sumatra, were reported to be positive for COVID-19.
All of them have been evacuated by the Medan City Government (Pemko) to undergo further treatment.
Medan Mayor Bobby Nasution explained that all children and caregivers who were exposed to COVID-19 were evacuated to the Center for the Development and Empowerment of Educators and Education Personnel (P4TK) in Medan City.
"Today, the handling is done. We will take it to the isoter (centralized isolation), not at the Soechi (hotel), to PP4TK," said Bobby Nasution, Thursday, August 5.
Currently, said Bobby, the Medan City Government has three facilities that are used as a centralized isolation place in the city of Medan. The three places are Pirngadi Hospital, Medan City for COVID-19 patients with severe symptom criteria.
Meanwhile, the former Soechi Hotel and P4TK Building in Medan City, for COVID-19 patients with mild symptom criteria.
"We take them there (P4TK), because there are a lot of children there. There are 15 who were exposed along with their caregivers. We facilitate all of them," he said.
