Chronology Of The Dinar Candy Protest In Red Bikini On The Side Of The Road Until It Is Arrested By The Police

JAKARTA - The name Dinar Candy suddenly went viral after protesting the extension of PPKM throughout Indonesia. She wore a red bikini by the side of the road and posted it on Instagram.

Initially, Dinar Candy wrote on Instagram Story before President Joko Widodo announced that PPKM was extended until August 9, 2021. "Dear Mr. Jokowi, is PPKM extended or not? Don't take too long, sir, I'm stressed! bikini," wrote Dinar Candy, quoted from his personal Instagram.

President Joko Widodo then announced that PPKM was extended on August 2, 2021. Dinar Candy was also desperate to make an appointment by wearing a bikini on the side of the road on Wednesday, August 4.

Dinar Candy is seen wearing a red two piece bikini. His face was covered by dark glasses and a mask. He also carried a sign that read "I am stressed because PPKM has been extended". The action he uploaded in 3 posts on his Instagram account.

Shortly after, Dinar Candy was arrested by the police. "It's true that it was secured," said the Head of Public Relations of the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Yusri Yunus, to reporters, Thursday, August 5. However, Yusri did not want to go into details about the alleged pornographic case. Currently, Dinar is still undergoing examination at the South Jakarta Metro Police.

Previously, he was said to be reported by the Executive Board of the Indonesian Muslim Student Union (PB SEMMI). They will report the Dinar under Law Number 44 of 2008 concerning Pornography.

"What Dinar Candy did was just a cheap sensation. He should be able to do something that is more beneficial to the community, not social security agencies using the PPKM issue by showing off their genitals for reasons of stress. His actions are beyond the limits of social and humanitarian norms. Legal action must be taken," said the chairman. General PB SEMMI Bintang Wahyu Saputra in his statement.

Dinar Candy's actions are considered to have violated the Pornography Law. Dinar Candy can be charged with Law No. 44 of 2008 concerning Pornography. Dinar can also face 10 years in prison if he is caught in Article 36 of the Pornography Law.

Nikita Mirzani was seen coming to the South Jakarta Police on Wednesday night and admitted that he only accompanied Dinar Candy during the examination. However, Nikita did not provide further explanation about the legal procedures that Dinar Candy is currently facing.
