MUKOMUKO - Mukomuko District Police The Bengkulu Police are still investigating the cause of the fire in the four houses and beds in Bandar Jaya Village, Teramang Jaya District, Thursday, August 5 this morning.
"Currently, we are still investigating the origin of the fire, which caused the fire. A provisional estimate is that it is thought to have come from an electric short circuit or an electric short circuit," said Mukomuko District Police Chief, AKBP Andy Arisandi, as quoted by Antara.
In conducting the investigation, the police will ask for information from witness Budi Hendri (40), a trader from Bandar Kaya Village, Teramang Jaya District. Including bringing evidence from the location of the case.
The four houses and beds that burned were owned by Supriadi (38) a civil servant, Nasiran (58) a trader, the occupant of the bed, Wahyu Setiawan (28), a dynamo repair technician, and Tasim (59) a trader.
The fire broke out on Thursday at around 00.30 WIB. At that time, the victim was sleeping. Suddenly someone woke up and told them because they saw the fire was blazing just behind the house.
The victim then asked residents for help and tried to extinguish the fire. In the fire, the occupants of the bed still had time to take out some of their belongings and the others burned down.
The fire was extinguished after fire trucks arrived at the scene and the fire was extinguished at around 02.30 WIB.
He estimates that the material losses suffered by the victims of house fires in the area are around Rp. 250 million.
