Nicholas Hoult Plays Dracula In Renfield Film, Based On Bram Stoker's Novel

JAKARTA - Actor Nicholas Hoult chose a horror film as his latest project. Launching Deadline today, August 5, he is planned to play in a film called Renfield.

RM Renfield is a character from the novel Dracula by Bram Stoker which was released in 1897. The story focuses on an inmate in a mental hospital who is often considered delusional even though he is a servant of Dracula.

The synopsis of this film has not been announced, but as is well known the story about Dracula has been translated into film form. First there was Bram Stoker in 1992 and Penny Dreadful in 2016.

This film took two big names, Chris McKay on the director's bench while the script was written by Robert Kirkman, creator of The Walking Dead series.

Renfield was part of a huge Universal project that wanted to make a monster movie. Some of the other titles are Invisible Woman, Monster Mash, Dracula, Wolfman, Little Monsters, The Thing, and Van Helsing.

Regarding the horror genre, Nicholas Hoult has played a similar character in the 2013 film Warm Bodies.

Renfield became his latest work after appearing in the series The Great and the film Those Who Wish Me Dead with Angelina Jolie.
