Respecting The Services Of The Late Habib Saggaf, Central Sulawesi Governor Asks All Agencies To Fly The Flag At Half Mast

SULTENG - Central Sulawesi (Sulteng) Governor Rusdy Mastura appealed to agencies throughout the region to fly flags at half-mast to honor the services of Alkhairaat Main Chair Habib Saggaf bin Muhammad Aljufri who died last Tuesday, August 3.

The flag will be flown at half-mast for three days from today to Saturday, August 7th. "In order to respect all the services, the sacrifices are to continue to improve the civilization of the nation and region in Central Sulawesi," he said as quoted by Antara, Wednesday, August 4.

According to him, the services and sacrifices of the chairman of the largest Islamic organization in Eastern Indonesia, especially in the fields of education and da'wah are very large.

"Central Sulawesi is grieving, Central Sulawesi is missing the figure of Habib Saggaf bin Muhammad Aljufri. Our task going forward is to continue his struggles and aspirations to advance the world of education," he said.

The late Habib Saggaf bin Muhammad Aljufri chaired the largest Islamic organization in Eastern Indonesia since 1975. Alkhairaat focused on developing the world of education, especially Islamic religious education in all regions in Eastern Indonesia.

During his life Habib Saggaf bin Muhammad Aljufri was known to be a very religious figure, generous, loved learning and liked to teach indiscriminately despite his old age.

"Habib Saggaf, known as an Indonesian Islamic scholar from Palu City who was born in Pekalongan. He is a respected figure in society and is often visited by state officials to discuss religious and state issues," said the General Chairperson of the Alkhairaat Executive Board, Habib Ali. bin Muhammad Aljufri.

He explained that even though he was very old, the late Habib Saggaf never left his preaching. He continues to preach in mosques and in several areas in the country.

"Alkhairaat mourns and misses the charismatic cleric. Allahummagfirlahu warhamhu wa'afihi wa'fu'anhu. Innalilahi wainna ilaihi raji'un," said Habib Ali.
