JAKARTA - The hospital in Probolinggo, East Java received 50 units of oxygen cylinders with a capacity of 6 M3 from PT PGN. The oxygen is to help the needs of hospitals in the local area.
The Head of the Probolinggo District Health Office, Shodiq Tjahtjono, was grateful for the oxygen assistance. According to him, oxygen is urgently needed along with the increase in COVID-19 cases.
"The significant spike in COVID-19 cases in Probolinggo has caused a number of hospitals to experience an increase in the need for oxygen, so we are looking forward to this oxygen cylinder assistance," Shodiq said in an official statement, Wednesday, August 4.
PGN's Corporate Secretary, Rachmat Hutama, was grateful that the assistance was well received. "Thank God for the efforts and strategies carried out by the Pertamina Cares Oxygen Aid Emergency Response Team, oxygen assistance can be distributed to Probolinggo. Hopefully it can help anticipate shortages in Tongas Hospital, because the needs are very high," he said.
Rachmat continued, the Oxygen Emergency Response Team continues to coordinate for planning, implementing, monitoring the delivery of oxygen assistance in a number of areas on the island of Java.

The delivery of oxygen assistance to the hospital in Probolinggi was also attended by the Director of Tongas Hospital Probolinggo Wahyuningsih, the Chief Executive of the Probolinggo City Covid Task Force Shodiq Tjahjono, Serda Ardi Susanto in charge of PAM at the Tongas 05 Koramil Hospital, and Bripka Purwohadi W. Pam at Tongas Hospital, Wonomerto Police.
Previously, in early July 2021, Gagas had provided medical oxygen assistance using oxygen storage with a capacity of 175 liters for the Kramat Jati Hospital, Jakarta. In addition, Gagas together with Pertgas continue to play an active role in the distribution of medical oxygen through isotans which are distributed to hospitals in Java in need.
The Subholding Gas Group continues to strive to assist in the handling of COVID-19, especially in the supply of medical oxygen which is in high demand. Since the end of June 2021, medical oxygen assistance has begun to be distributed in stages. To date, Subholding Gas has distributed more than 137 tons of medical oxygen to hospitals in East Java, Central Java, DKI Jakarta, and DI Yogyakarta, as well as 9 Isotank assistance to optimize the availability of medical oxygen supply.
