Collaboration Of Blink-182 And The Chainsmokers In PS I Hope You're Happy

JAKARTA - Currently, cross genre collaboration between musicians has often occurred. Most recently, there is the band Blink-182 with the DJ group The Chainsmokers who released a single called PS I Hope You're Happy.

This is not the first time Blink-182 has collaborated with other musicians. Previously they had worked with Goody Grace and Neck Deep. Meanwhile, The Chainsmokers has also collaborated with 5 Seconds of Summer, Coldplay, Ty Dolla Sign, and many more.

This collaboration has been launched since the beginning of the year when Twitter The Chainsmokers wrote; “Just had a (recording) session with Blink-182 and wrote an amazing song. We can die happily now. "

Blink-182 personnel, Mark Hoppus and Matt Shiba also uploaded their photos recorded in the studio. Shiba wrote “Writing… #chainsmokers”

Judging from the lyrics, this song tells the story of a person's feelings towards a former lover who has been with someone else. She tries not to be sad and doesn't contact her ex, as in the lyrics; "But I won't be sad for the sake of it"

PS I Hope You're Happy balancedly shares The Chainsmokers' DJ-s side with the pop punk side Blink-182. The result, a track that is both catchy and nostalgic. Some of the notes remind us of Blink-182's I Miss You track.

This collaboration is one of the tracks from The Chainsmokers' latest album, World War Joy, which was released last December 6. Apart from Blink-182, names such as Amy Shark, Kygo, Sabrina Claudio, Lennon Stella, and Bebe Rexha were also asked to be collaborators for The Chainsmokers on this album.
