Voters In Nabire Papua Election Rematch Touch 69 Percent, Mesak Magai-Ismail Djamaluddin The Most Votes
PAPUA - The voter turnout in the re-voting (PSU) of the Nabire Regent and Deputy Regent elections reached 69 percent.
This was conveyed by the Chairperson of the KPU Papua Province, Diana Simbiak. The PSU in Nabire was held on July 28 and was attended by three pairs of candidates for regent and deputy regent with a total of 86,064 voters.
"The voters who cast their votes at the Nabire Regency PSU reached 69 percent," said Diana Simbiak in Jayapura, quoted from Antara, Wednesday, August 4.
From the report received from the Nabire Regency KPU, the plenary meeting of the recapitulation of the vote count on Monday, August 2 to Tuesday, August 3, stated that the Nabire Regent/Deputy Regent Candidate Pair Mesak Magai-Ismail Djamaluddin received the most votes, namely 25,259 votes.
Following the pair Yufinia Mote-Muhammad Darwis got 18,184 votes and the FX pair Mote-Tabrani bin M. Cahya got 16,135 votes. "There were 59,578 valid votes and 1,085 invalid votes," Diana said.
The candidate pairs, he continued, were given the opportunity for 5 days to accept or take legal action to the Constitutional Court (MK).
