Rosan thanked the staff of the Indonesian Embassy in Japan who had helped the athletes during the quadrennial sports event.
“This result is the contribution of the Indonesian Embassy team where the Ambassador is always with us in every match. And what touched me in the last match, I thought I was alone, but the Ambassador was already present," said Rosan in a press release from the Indonesian Olympic Committee (KOI) which was reported by Antara.
The general chairman of KOI Raja Sapta Oktohari also expressed his appreciation. According to Okto, the smooth journey of the Indonesian team at the Tokyo Olympics was thanks to the support of the Indonesian Embassy in Japan.
“We are very grateful for the support from the Ambassador and all the staff of the Indonesian Embassy who have brought Indonesia's best athletes. Our trip to the Tokyo Olympics will not be successful if it is not supported by the Indonesian Embassy," he said.
The athletes who won the Tokyo Olympics medals were also given awards in the form of Garuda Indonesia Jakarta-Tokyo business class tickets which were valid for a year.
