Jakut Mayor: Flats Nagrak Remains A Central Isolation Place
JAKARTA - North Jakarta Mayor Ali Maulana Hakim said the Nagrak Cilincing Flats (Rusun) remained a centralized isolation place for COVID-19 patients.
"So we prefer to send our residents there (Rusun Nagrak). And it's more controlled, more secure," said Ali, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, August 3.
Ali said other self-isolation locations for COVID-19 patients, such as Balai Yos Sudarso (North Jakarta Mayor's Office) were prepared to anticipate a spike in COVID-19 cases in the capital like two or three weeks earlier.
In addition, there is also a Sports Center (GOR) which is used as a controlled isolation location (isoman) in two locations, namely Tanjung Priok GOR and Pademangan GOR.
"Well, even if there are explosions (COVID-19 cases) like yesterday, we anticipate by opening several (controlled isoman locations). We are also at the Sports Center (GOR), there is also the North Jakarta Mayor's Office," said Ali.
In addition, the North Jakarta City Government also has a controlled self-isolation location in collaboration with Regional Owned Enterprises, private companies, and other elements of the community.
"Such as the isoman location at UBM Housing which can accommodate up to 600 people, this is in the North Jakarta area. So if there are employers who are responsible for their exposed employees, they can provide controlled isolation locations like this, it would be better," said Ali.
However, Ali said that the priority location for isolation remains at the RSDC-19 Nagrak Flat. Other controlled isoman locations are only prepared as transit points in the event of a spike in COVID-19 cases in North Jakarta.
Moreover, at the beginning of the opening, the Nagrak Flat did not accept patients who were confirmed positive for COVID-19 through the results of the antigen swab, but had to be based on the results of the "PCR" swab test.
"Well, while waiting for the results of the PCR laboratory, we transited at the Mayor's Office, it was like that. But now Nagrak has also received the antigen. So residents don't need to transit for isolation anymore, they can go directly to Nagrak," said Ali .
For self-isolation at home, it is also available because COVID-19 sufferers have a representative house as an isoman, one family is exposed to COVID-19, and the RT/RW Task Force is responsible for supervising residents while undergoing isomanism.
"If you meet these requirements, okay, (self-isolation) at home is okay. But if it is difficult to supervise, we suggest staying in Nagrak. Because it is more controlled, that's all, to minimize transmission," said Ali.
Ali said that currently there are around 4,000 active positive cases in North Jakarta. Considering that many controlled self-isolation locations are still not filled, the North Jakarta City Government is more directing the centralization of COVID-19 patients in the Nagrak Flats.
In addition to providing isolation locations, vaccination achievements in North Jakarta are also continuously improved. To date, more than 80 percent of residents with Jakarta ID cards have participated in the vaccination from a total of 1,440,089 residents.
