Medical Support Director Of RSUD Dr Soetomo Dies Of COVID-19
SURABAYA - Director of Medical Support for Regional General Hospital Dr Soetomo Surabaya Prof Dr Hendrian Dwikoloso Soebagjo died due to exposure to COVID-19.
"He died at the age of 56 after being treated for a month in the Special Isolation Room (RIK 1) at RSUD Dr. Soetomo," said Director of RSUD Dr. Soetomo Joni Wahyuadi during his last respects at the Hall of the Faculty of Medicine, Airlangga University in Surabaya. August 3rd.
The team of doctors at the Soetomo Hospital has made every effort to restore Prof.'s physical condition. Hendrian, ranging from convalescent plasma therapy, actemra, ventilator, to ECMO, CRRT, including plasma exchange therapy.
Dr. Joni added that as an official doctor of the East Java Provincial Government, Prof. Hendrian left many services at the hospital.
The nine-story Oncology building and the new parking building at RSUD Dr. Soetomo which are now standing strong, he said, were initiated by the professor who was born and raised in Surabaya.
"In fact, he himself was looking for an architect who designed the two buildings and escorted them from the beginning to the end," said Dr. Joni.
Meanwhile, the Dean of the Unair Faculty of Medicine, Budi Santoso, said that the departure of the professor as well as the Head of the Division of Orbita and Eye Oncology Department/SMF Ophthalmology FK Unar was a deep sorrow.
"We have lost a reliable teacher whose knowledge has been very useful for the advancement of education, especially for FK Unair students, as well as for his patients. Hopefully his dedication so far can become a charity that continues to flow for him," he said.
In Budi's eyes, the late Prof. Hendrian was a very active person since his student days.
"A critical organizer. He entered in 1984, while I was in 1982. Since the first, Prof. Hendrian has been very active both in the student senate. A critical organizer if I mention him. And since the first his personality has not changed, always kind and humble," he said. .
Prof. Hendrian passed away leaving behind his wife, Novri Susanti, and three children, namely Nadia Azihni Henofaiz, Devan Ahmad Henofernanda and Raynar Ahmad Henofaryal.
Prof. Hendrian is the most skilled doctor and eye surgeon in Indonesia owned by FK Unair, specializing in cataract, LASIK, oncology or eye cancer, and eye cosmetic surgery.
Thousands of laser and corneal surgical procedures including LASIK, cataract surgery, glaucoma treatment, corneal collagen cross-linking, and various procedures on eye and vision health conditions he has performed during his service.
Before being buried, the Governor of East Java Khofifah Indar Parawansa accompanied by Plh East Java Provincial Secretary Heru Tjahjono and several East Java Provincial Government officials participated in paying their last respects for the body of the deceased.
