Floods In Ende NTT, One Resident Dies Due To Being Dragged By The Current
JAKARTA - A resident of Nualima Village, Ende Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province, died as a result of being swept away by flood currents. Floods caused by heavy rains have been going on since Sunday, August 1.
The Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Ende Regency reported that it was at the location and carried out efforts to evacuate residents affected by the flood today.
"Currently, we are heading to the location of the incident to directly observe and make efforts to evacuate victims," Head of the Emergency and Logistics Division of BPBD Ende Yulianus A. Laga Pasa in his statement, Tuesday, August 3.

The landslide caused material losses in the form of two houses being heavily damaged, one moderately damaged, and one school being moderately damaged.
"Three classrooms at Vocational High School (SMK) 7 Ende were heavily damaged by landslides. Landslides also hit agricultural land and waterways," said Yulianus. it has provided logistical assistance.
"We have also provided logistical assistance, such as rice, oil, milk, mats and food packages to affected residents," he said.
Meanwhile, for the damaged school, BPBD built a platoon tent at SMK 7 Ende to anticipate if teaching and learning activities were opened by the local government.
