Was Delayed, Finally The Incentive Fund For COVID-19 Funeral Officers At OKU Cair
JAKARTA - The government of Ogan Komering Ulu Regency, South Sumatra, has disbursed incentive funds for COVID-19 funeral officers after several months of delays in paying due to a lack of budget.
"This afternoon the incentive funds were paid," Yusirwan, Head of Social Security and Facilitator for the COVID-19 Funeral Service at the Ogan Komering Ulu (OKU) Social Service, said in Baturaja, as quoted by Antara, Tuesday, August 3.
He explained that the budgeted funds of IDR 180 million were to pay incentives for COVID-19 funeral officers in OKU Regency.
The funds are earmarked for nine COVID-19 funeral officers who have been tasked with burying bodies according to health protocol standards. These officers have so far recorded burying 50 COVID-19 patients out of 50 deaths due to the corona virus outbreak.
"The incentive that each officer receives is IDR 400,000 for each case of death," he said.
Regarding the delay in payment of incentives for COVID-19 mortuary officers at OKU, he said, this was due to the disbursement process which took quite a long time.
"The process of disbursing funds is a bit long. Thank God the funds have been paid today," he said.
