Deputy Chief Of Police Praise Bobby Nasution, Implementation Of PPKM In Medan Is Considered A Success
MEDAN - Wakapolri Komjen Gatot Eddy Pramono assessed that the policy of implementing restrictions on community activities (PPKM) was successful in Medan City, North Sumatra.
He said the success assessment was after directly observing the location of the Micro PPKM in Environment VIII, Menteng complex, Medan. He was accompanied by a number of regional officials, including North Sumatra Police Chief Inspector General Panca Putra, North Sumatra Deputy Governor Musa Rajekshah, and Medan Mayor Bobby Nasution.
The Deputy Chief of Police explained that the indicators of success included the implementation of the 5M health protocol and the supervision of health workers for patients exposed to COVID-19.
"Then for those who are sick, food and so on are sent directly to their homes, so there is no interaction," he said at a centralized isolation area for COVID-19 patients at the former Soechi Hotel.
The Deputy Chief of Police also appreciated the implementation of the assistance system from residents for residents to increase solidarity and reduce negative stigma.
"I express my appreciation to the community, hopefully other regions can imitate it. Social solidarity is quite high here. The community provides social assistance to residents affected by this pandemic," he said.
The Deputy Chief of Police reminded residents who were exposed to COVID-19 to isolate in an integrated isolation area that had been provided by the local government for residents who did not allow isolation at home.
"Because if they do self-isolation at home, if they don't follow the correct SOP, they can become a family cluster," he said.
Medan City is one of the regions in Indonesia that implements the implementation of Level 4 Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM).
