Once Bragged About Knowing Harun Masiku's Number Plate, The KPK Asked Harun Al Rasyid To Reveal The Location Of The Fugitive

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has asked the head of the inactive Investigation Task Force, Harun Al Rasyid, to reveal the location of the fugitive former PDI-P legislative candidate, Harun Masiku.

This was conveyed in response to Harun's statement claiming to know the whereabouts of the fugitive who is now on the NCB Interpol red notice list.

On a number of occasions, 1 out of 75 employees who were declared not to have passed the National Insight Test (TWK) claimed to have tracked down Harun Masiku's whereabouts and confirmed that the fugitive was still alive. The investigator also confirmed that he could immediately arrest Aaron as long as he was reactivated.

"We ask any party who really knows of his whereabouts (Harun Masiku, ed) to immediately report it to the KPK and other law enforcement officials," Acting KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement Affairs Ali Fikri told reporters, Tuesday, August 3.

Ali stated that his party had been working seriously to find Harun Masiku both at home and abroad. Thus, he asked anyone not to raise issues in the midst of the search for the briber of the former KPU commissioner Wahyu Setiawan and to help them.

"It's not actually raising issues that have the potential to become polemic and counterproductive in the effort to arrest the said DPO," he said.

As previously reported, Harun Masiku is a suspect in the bribery case against former General Elections Commission (KPU) Commissioner Wahyu Setiawan. This award is made so that he can sit as a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives through the interim shift (PAW).

He has been on the wanted list (DPO) since January 29, 2020. Most recently, the KPK informed the National Central Bureau (NCB) of Interpol Indonesia that it had issued a red notice on behalf of Harun Masiku on Friday, July 30.

In carrying out this search, the KPK has collaborated with a number of parties such as the Criminal Investigation Police of the National Police and the Director General of Immigration of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkumham).

Inactive KPK investigator Harun Al Rasyid previously boasted that Harun Masiku was still in Indonesia. In fact, the anti-corruption commission investigators know the number plate and the type of car used by the alleged briber, former KPU commissioner Wahyu Setiawan.

"There is (detected in Indonesia, ed). We know the number plate person, who uses the car. How can you (you, ed) not believe that Harun is still alive," Harun told reporters, Sunday, May 30.

However, he did not specify the whereabouts of Harun Masiku. However, this investigator confirmed that the fugitive was still in Indonesia until Friday, May 28.
