Jambi Police Arrest Specialist Group Of Vehicle Thieves
JAMBI - A joint team from the Jambi Police Satreskrim with the South Jambi Police and the Merangin Police arrested four perpetrators or members of a gang that specializes in theft of motor vehicles such as cars and motorbikes in residential areas.
The vehicle theft gang has so far acted at 11 crime scenes (TKP), and the last one in Jambi City was stealing a pickup type car before being arrested by a joint team, Friday, July 30.
The four perpetrators who committed the crime, namely JS (29), AA (30), DJ (22) and AS (44).
"There is another one with the initials S who is currently still on the DPO," said Jambi Police Chief Kombes Dover Christian, quoted by Antara, Monday, August 1.
In addition to securing the perpetrators, the police also secured evidence in the form of one unit of a car type L300 BH 8645 MP Mitsubishi L300 brand, one unit of Honda Beat motorcycle black list green, two T keys, one screwdriver unit, two pry tools, five mobile phones. .
The police chief explained that the last gang action was recorded at around 06.30 WIB. There was a criminal act of theft of a four-wheeled motorized vehicle, starting when the complainant named Ardiyanto was woken up by his wife who said the car had been stolen.
Then, the reporter checked it and it was true that the parked L300 car along with the STNK in the box had disappeared. For this incident, the complainant suffered a loss of 1 L300 car with a nominal value of around Rp. 150,000,000.
The results of the investigation revealed that the car was on its way to Tabir Selatan District, Merangin Regency. Furthermore, the team coordinated with the Merangin Police Criminal Investigation Unit to secure the L300 car and the US perpetrators.
After being secured, the team and the Tekab Rang Kayo Hitam Jambi Police carried out developments on the main perpetrators and it was found that the perpetrators were in the Paal Merah area. Subsequently, three perpetrators were arrested, namely JS, AA, and DJ.
After that, development was carried out on the perpetrator's facilities in the form of a letter T key found in the Simpang Pete area, Batanghari Regency along with 1 unit of a black and green Honda Beat motorcycle. Furthermore, the perpetrators along with evidence were secured at the South Jambi Police for further examination.
The result of the development turned out that the gang had acted in 11 TKP, namely the first TKP in Jerambah Bolong, Paal Merah, Beside the Paal Merah Gas Warehouse, near SDN 215, Pertamina Kota Baru, Simpang Gado-Gado, Behind the Mobile Brigade Headquarters, Jerambah Bolong garbage cans, Pertamina , Paal 13 Mestong, and finally at Pattimura Simpang Rimbo.
