Different From Dirintelkam, Head Of Public Relations Of The South Sumatra Police Denies Akidi Tio's Child Being A Hoax Suspect For IDR 2 Trillion Assistance

JAKARTA - The Head of Public Relations of the South Sumatra Police, Kombes Supriadi, said that Akidi Tio's son, Heriyanti, had not been named a suspect in the hoax issue of granting aid funds worth Rp. 2 trillion. Until now Heryanti is still in the process of being investigated.

"No suspect has been determined," Supriadi told reporters, Monday, August 2.

Supriadi corrected the statement from the Director of Intelligence and Security at the South Sumatra Police, who previously stated that Heriyanti had become a suspect. The reason is that the authority to determine suspects lies with the Directorate of General Criminal Investigation.

"The one who has named the suspect is Mr. Dirkrimum," he said.

"In the investigation process, the Directorate of Criminal Justice has the authority. And he said this is still in the process of being investigated," continued Supriadi.

In addition, Supriadi also emphasized that Heryanti was not arrested or secured. Instead, he was invited to the South Sumatra Police to provide clarification.

"We are currently processing this, we are calling the person concerned to come to the Regional Police to ensure whether or not the 2 T money will be handed over," said Supriadi.

Previously, the Director of Intelligence and Security at the South Sumatra Police, Kombes Ratno Kuncoro, said that Heriyanti, the son of the late Akidi Tio, was named a suspect in the hoax case of Rp2 trillion in aid for handling COVID-19 in South Sumatra. Herianti is still being investigated intensively by investigators.

"The suspect's motive is currently under investigation. What is clear is that HR (Heriyanti, the youngest child of the late Akidi Tio) has become a suspect. We have also secured Prof H (Hardi Darmawan) for questioning. 1 of 1946 articles 15 and 16 and will be subject to quite heavy sanctions of more than 10 years," he said.
