Indika Energy Owned By Conglomerate Agus Lasmono Sudwikatmono Targets 50 Percent Of Revenue In 2025 Not Supported By Coal

JAKARTA - PT Indika Energy Tbk targets that 50 percent of the company's revenue will no longer be supported by coal by 2025.

Indika Energy's Deputy President Director and Group CEO Azis Armand said that since three years ago his company has been diversifying from renewable energy projects to technology.

"Indika Energy's diversified investments include gold mining, digital technology, new and renewable energy, electric motor vehicles, as well as nature-based solutions. We are targeting 50 percent of revenue from the non-coal sector by 2025," Azis Armand said in a statement. his statement in Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Tuesday, August 3.

He further revealed that the global economic situation due to the pandemic is still quite challenging, thus spurring the company owned by conglomerate Agus Lasmono Sudwikatmono to be more adaptive and agile in seeing business opportunities.

According to him, the investment diversification is an innovation of the issuer codenamed INDY in seeing changes in energy trends in the future which tend to prioritize the new and renewable energy sector.

"Since 2018, Indika Energy has diversified beyond our core sectors in energy and mining. This is in line with our existence goal to energize Indonesia for a sustainable future," said Azin.

Indika Energy has added $125 million in debt to finance the diversified projects.

Several of Indika Energy's diversified subsidiaries include PT Nusantara Resources Limited which is engaged in gold mining, PT Tripatra Multi Energi and PT Indika Tenaga Baru which is a renewable energy investment, to PT Electra Mobilitas Indonesia which works on electric motor vehicles.

Furthermore, there is also PT Xapiens Teknologi Indonesia which is engaged in enterprise information and technology, PT Zebra Cross Technology in the field of digital technology services, PT Empat Mitra Indika Tenaga Surya which works on the renewable energy business, and PT Indika Multi Properti which serves property projects and building construction. .
