JAKARTA - The success of the women's doubles badminton pair Greysia Polii/Apriyani Rahayu in winning the gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics on Monday, made netizens celebrate their victory.
Since the match started the hashtag #GreyApFinalTokyo2020 has become a trending topic, along with the hashtag #Badminton.
Right after Greysia/Apriyani won the match against Chinese women's doubles Chen Qing Chen/Jia Yi Fan with a score of 21-19, 21-15, netizens were busy expressing their gratitude "ALHAMDULILLAH YA ALLAH" which immediately became a trending topic.
Not long ago the hashtag #Gold topped the hashtag, along with the hashtag #proudofyou. "Cool GreyApp. Congratulations for the gold medal. Thankyou, we are proud of you!!" tweeted @Martabakkasinn.
Writer Ika Natassa also celebrated the success of the 10-year apart couple by tweeting "These are the faces of heroes," while uploading a photo of Greysia and Apriyani competing in the final.
Not a few netizens also expressed their feelings when the anthem Indonesia Raya was played at Musashino Forest Sports Plaza, Tokyo Stadium.

Greysia/Apriyani made history as the first women's doubles pair to win Olympic gold.
