436 KPK Employees Declared Exposed To COVID-19 During The Pandemic, 10 People Died
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) noted that hundreds of its employees were exposed to COVID-19 during the pandemic in the country. As a result of this, the anti-corruption commission must adapt in carrying out its duties and responsibilities.
"From the beginning of 2020 to July 31, 2021, the number of employees who were confirmed positive for COVID-19 was 436 people. Specifically for the Deputy for Enforcement, there were 141 people," Acting KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement Affairs Ali Fikri told reporters, Monday, August 2.
Of this number, specifically this year, as many as 169 employees were declared exposed to COVID-19 of which 41 came from the deputy for prosecution. Furthermore, the KPK also noted that 10 of its employees were declared dead after being exposed to COVID-19.
"Lastly, the late KPK investigator Ardian Rahayudi," said Ali.
With this note, he said his agency continues to fight and save employees from exposure to this virus. Moreover, until now there are 44 people who have not recovered and 4 of them are still being treated at the hospital.
"Let's continue to pray and try, hopefully friends who are sick will soon be healthy, the pandemic will pass soon, and this country will recover," he concluded.
