MEDAN - Residents of Dahari Selebar Village, Talawi sub-district, Batu Bara Regency, North Sumatra, were shocked by the appearance of a figure who was said to be similar to a kuntilanak.
The appearance of a kuntilanak-like figure was caught on a surveillance camera of a shop owned by a resident. The video also received a response from the Regent of Batu Bara, Zahir.
When contacted by VOI, Zahir said that the appearance of the figure referred to by residents as a kuntilanak was not a supernatural being. He believed that the figure caught on the surveillance camera was a human.
"It's not a ghost, where is Kuntilanak who dares to show his form. I'm sure it's a human being," said Zahir, Friday, July 30.
This PDIP politician appealed to the people not to panic. He suspected that the pounding on the door of the resident's house was a mode of committing criminal acts.
"Be careful the mode, it could be a mode to draw the situation and the police must investigate it," he said.
"People don't believe it, ghosts won't dare to show their form, if we see it, usually what is recorded is only a shadow or dropping an object, not showing its form," he continued.
In addition, the Regent of Batu Bara also mentioned the location of Dahari Selebar Village. According to him, the area is an area with high drug trafficking.
"In that area, the circulation of drugs is high. I have asked the Chief of Police to take action. There are coastal areas, there are many rat doors," he continued.
Previously, residents of Dahari Selebar Village, Talawi District, Batu Bara Regency, North Sumatra, were shocked by the appearance of a creature similar to a kuntilanak.
The appearance of the kuntilanak-like creature was caught on a surveillance camera of a shop owned by a resident. The wife of the shop owner, Sylvi Andriani Nasution, then spread the video of the creature's appearance to her Facebook account and it went viral on social media.
The distribution of the video, Sylvi Andirani Nasution, when confirmed, told the chronology of the appearance of the creature. Initially, on Wednesday, July 28 at around 20.00 WIB, she and her husband and children were in her bedroom.
"At that time the sound of the TV was on, I was playing cellphone with my husband and children in the room, the sound was noisy. Suddenly, someone was banging on the door very loudly, there we were confused, how come the pounding was loud," said Sylvi when contacted by VOI , Friday, July 30.
Out of curiosity, she and her husband left the room and peeked out the window. However, she and her husband did not find anyone.
"We didn't have any negative thoughts at that time, coincidentally someone was sick in front of the house. So we went out, I asked my husband's sister, there was a banging on the house? No one said anything, no one else asked," he said.
Furthermore, Sylvi explained that in the early hours of Thursday, July 29, he heard the news that the house of his neighbor who was sick was also banged on by someone else.
"In the morning, the house of the sick father, the window of his son's room was banged on. The older brother said that his hands were pale white. After all, there were also others who were banged on, so that day there were 3 who were banged on," he said.
