Denpasar Animal Slaughterer Fined Rp1 Million

DENPASAR - The Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) Denpasar City, Bali carried out a minor criminal action (tipiring) against residents who disposed of animal slaughter waste in the drainage area in the Peguyangan area, North Denpasar District.

Head of Denpasar City Satpol PP I Dewa Gede Anom Sayoga said his party had taken action against a resident who dumped animal slaughter waste into a water channel (dainase) in the Peguyangan area.

"We have submitted this act for a minor criminal offense to the Denpasar District Court for processing and sanctions," he said, quoted by Antara, Friday, July 30.

He said the steps taken by the Satpol PP were guided by the applicable rules and they violated existing regulations.

From there, a trial was held at the Denpasar District Court led by Judge Hari Supriyanto. The judge imposed a fine on residents with the initials IKS in the amount of Rp. 1 million, subsidiary to imprisonment for 15 days.

After the trial, Dewa Sayoga said that the Tipiring trial was an effort to enforce local regulations and provide lessons as well as to provide a deterrent effect for people who violate local regulations.

"The trial for minor crimes (tipiring) is not just to find fault, but to enforce the local regulation and socialize the local regulation itself, so that the public can comply and hopefully there will be no other violations," he said.

Dewa Sayoga said that there were still reports from the public about disturbances in public security and order, making Denpasar City Satpol PP aggressively carry out sudden inspections or inspections.

This is also to ensure that there are no activities that can harm and disturb others, including environmental pollution.

"We will continue to enforce this regional regulation until the community understands the importance of obeying the rules," said Sayoga

According to Dewa Sayoga, the violators were found guilty and violated Regional Regulation Number 1 of 2015 concerning Public Order.
