2,313 Isoman COVID Patient Dies, PDIP Legislator Proposes RT/RW Task Force To Become Controlling Motor

JAKARTA - PDIP faction member Rahmad Handoyo, asked the COVID-19 Task Force at the RT/RW level to collaborate with residents, especially community leaders and religious leaders or elders in the environment to control the spread of COVID-19.

Including grounding prokes to residents so that assistance to Isoman perpetrators can be more effective and optimal. "The task force at the RT and RW levels must be the motor for controlling COVID-19, therefore the Task Force must be optimized," Rahmad told reporters, Friday, July 30.

This is because as of last week, as many as 2,313 people exposed to COVID-19 who were self-isolating (isoman) were reported to have died.

"The way is to involve all elements of society in the environment. It is necessary to realize that COVID-19 control can be effective if it is carried out in mutual cooperation," he continued.

The member of Commission IX of the DPR RI believes that if residents at the RT/RW level are united and are willing to work together to protect their environment from the threat of COVID-19, the high death rate due to self-isolation (isoman) can be suppressed. Because according to him, residents who have contracted COVID-19 and are self-isolating at home, of course need support from close people in their environment.

"Well, if residents are united in providing assistance, support and assistance, I am sure the risk of death will decrease," said Rahmad.

On the one hand, he continued, assisting the Isomans is actually not easy because there are still many problems found in the field. Isomans who are in anxiety, he said, may be closed because they feel that COVID-19 is a disgrace.

Not to mention, said Rahmad, there are also people who don't believe in COVID-19, then don't care and still hang around even though they have been exposed to Corona.

"Well, in conditions like this there must be a joint movement from all elements of society. The isomans must be monitored day by day so that they are disciplined in implementing the procedures. The development of their health condition must be read, so that officers can take appropriate steps for further treatment," said the legislator. the Central Java electoral district.

According to the PDIP politician, various problems in the field could be more easily solved if the task force at the RT and RW levels involved local residents, especially community leaders who were trusted by their citizens.

The involvement of all elements of society in controlling COVID-19 is non-negotiable considering that currently the spread of the Corona virus is no longer at the office level but at the residential level.

"Now the transmission of the corona virus is in villages, even in housing, in households. Therefore, there is no other choice, the COVID-19 Task Force at the RT and RW levels must be optimized," he said.

Rahmad reminded, Indonesia will never get out of the COVID-19 pandemic if the handling is only borne by the government. The reason, he said, was that the government only set a war strategy against COVID-19, while its implementation was carried out in mutual cooperation by all elements of the nation.

“Our health workers are not enough to supervise the isoman. Our hospitals are not enough to accommodate isoman. Therefore, all parties must work together to ground the strategy set by the government," he said.

In addition to continuous education for citizens, added Rahmad, the government must of course increase the production of domestic drugs as a more serious step.

“Efforts to reduce the death rate must be a serious concern. Therefore, isomans cannot be left alone, there must always be assistance for consultation. Two-way communication is the key word," he said.
