Denies Covering Data On COVID-19 Patients In East Java, Governor Khofifah: Transparent From The Inside!
JAKARTA - East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa has denied covering up data on COVID-19 patients so that the handling of the pandemic is under control in his area.
Regarding data transparency, Khofifah said that her party had conveyed the data as it was to the public through the official website infocovid19.jatimprov.go.id.
"God willing, the data from the East Java Provincial Government is transparent and inner, there is nothing to hide, because the provincial government does not report to any institution except to the public," said Khofifah in a virtual discussion at Airlangga University, Friday, July 30.
Khofifah explained, all testing data, both negative and positive, were directly reported from the laboratory or hospital to the New All Record or NAR online system, not to the Governor or other regional heads in East Java.
"It's as if the provincial government is being accused, or the governor and the regional head. I want to thank you, there is absolutely no nuance of self-defense or anything, in our reporting system nothing is reported by the provincial government, let alone the governor," explained Khofifah.
Including the bed occupancy rate (BOR) in East Java, said Khofifah, it was also reported directly to the Ministry of Health's Online Hospital system, not to the governor or other regional heads.
"There is absolutely no SOP that provides references like that, there are no circulars, there is no need to call me first, this is so that it becomes part of our accountability," he said.
Regarding the death rate, Khofifah said the East Java Provincial Government had asked the Ministry of Health to conduct an audit of the deaths of COVID-19 patients in their area so that all of them were properly verified.
"It is suspected that we are collaborating, how about collusion with the Ministry of Health? If the data is from the regency/city government, we upload it, so there is no data from the provincial government, we are what we are," said Khofifah.
