Getting The Nusantara Vaccine Injection From Terawan, Moeldoko: Hopefully It's Not Assumed To Be Of Various Kinds
JAKARTA - Presidential Chief of Staff Moeldoko was vaccinated using the Nusantara vaccine by former Health Minister Terawan Agus Putranto. This was uploaded on his Instagram account.
"Today, I received an injection of the Nusantara vaccine to prevent the transmission of Covid-19 from Lt. Gen. (Ret.) Terawan Agus Putranto at the Gatot Soebroto Army Hospital," Moeldoko said in the dr_moeldoko Instagram account on Friday, July 30.
Moeldoko said this vaccine uses the dendritic method. The basic ingredients come from the blood cells of the vaccine recipients themselves.
"After the cells went through the process in the laboratory, the blood cells were put back into my body," he said.
Moeldoko admitted that he wanted to participate in supporting domestic product innovation in order to participate in overcoming the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Let me try first as a support for the hard work of the nation's children. I hope that my support will not be taken for granted," he said.
It is known, Terawan previously claimed that the Nusantara vaccine which he developed with dendritic cell technology could be a solution to overcome various new variants of the corona virus that have emerged recently. Including, the Delta variant of the malignant virus which is more rapidly transmitted.
"Regarding the variant, I answered very easily, it only took eight days, I changed the antigen. Because the antigen is recombinant so S spike, we just have to see which mutation it has, just join it," Terawan said in a hearing with Commission VII DPR RI, Wednesday, June 16.
"All we have to do is add mutations in England, India, and South Africa," he continued.
The Nusantara vaccine has gone through phase 2 clinical trials of the Nusantara vaccine. One of the Indonesian vaccine researchers, Lt. Col. Jonny, revealed that there were a number of unwanted events (KTD) that arose during clinical trials. However, it is claimed that there are no effects that are categorized as serious, generally only mild effects.
"The result is that all undesirable events are of mild degree. There are 24 subjects who complain of grade 1 local reactions," explained Lt. Col. Jonny.
