There Is Good News From West Java, Portable Oxygen Prices Drop 11.2 Percent
JAKARTA - The Business Competition Supervisory Commission (KPPU) conducted a survey of oxygen prices in the marketplace during the implementation of restrictions on community activities (PPKM) in the West Java region. As a result, the price of oxygen was observed to fall 11.2 percent.
Head of Regional Office III of KPPU, Aru Armando, said that the price of oxygen, whether portable or tube, has indeed decreased compared to early July when monitoring was carried out for the first time.
"If in the first week we find that there is an increase of 900 percent week after week, it looks like the trend is declining," he said in a virtual press conference, Friday, July 30.
Aru said, from the results of a survey on July 28 of stores in marketplace A where the price of Oxycan brand portable oxygen has been monitored since July 21, there are several stores that are no longer active, Oxycan products in their stores run out, or delete Oxycan products in their stores.
Then, said Aru, the Regional Office III team conducted a survey again on a sample of several shops in the West Java Region, there were 10 shops selling 500cc Oxycan brand portable oxygen in the price range of Rp. 108,000 to Rp. 198,000. While the average price is IDR 170,580.
"This we convey that there is a decrease in the average oxygen brand Oxycan portable or cylinder by 11.2 percent from the previous week's average and stock of goods available," he said.
Aru said from the results of monitoring the price of 1M3 oxygen cylinders with full set trolleys and regulators on July 28, there are stores that have removed this product or stores that are no longer active.
Then, the survey continued with a sample of several stores in the West Java Region, there were 9 stores that sold 1M3 oxygen cylinders with trolleys and full set regulators in the price range of Rp. 1,168,000,000 to Rp. 7,150,000.
"The average price is IDR 3,558,500. There is an increase in the average price of full set oxygen cylinders by 7.5 percent from the average price of the previous week of IDR 3,309,200. Stock of goods is available," he explained.
Meanwhile, said Aru, from the results of a survey on July 28 of stores in marketplace B where the price of Oxygen Portable Oxygen Brand Oxycan has been monitored since July 21, there are stores that have deleted this product in their store or the store is no longer active.
"The team conducted a survey again on a sample of several shops in the West Java Region, there were 11 shops selling 500cc Oxycan brand portable oxygen in the price range of Rp. 152,000 to Rp. 240,000. The average price was Rp. 214,625," he explained.
Aru said there was a 1.5 percent decrease in the average price of Oxycan from the previous week's average price of Rp. 218,000 and that stock was available.
Meanwhile, the price of a 1M3 oxygen cylinder with a trolly and a full set of regulators in marketplace B is Rp800,000 to Rp944,000. One other shop sells for IDR 1,300,000 to IDR 5,500,000 and stock is available.
