Seeing Caucasians Not Wearing Masks In Bali, Sophia Latjuba Fails To Understand
JAKARTA - Awareness of wearing masks to reduce the risk of spreading COVID-19 is not evenly distributed. In Bali, many foreigners do not wear masks when they go out. This makes Sophia Latjuba can't stop thinking.
This was revealed by Sophia Latjuba in an upload on her Instagram Stories, on Thursday, July 29. As is known, Sophia Latjuba and her family are currently living in Bali.
Sophia said she was disappointed that most of the foreigners she often saw on the Island of the Gods were not wearing masks.
The mother of singer Eva Celia assesses the attitude shown by the foreigners as if they are natives of Bali, while the natives who are there are considered as immigrants.
"I don't understand. Why do the majority of foreingners in Bali not want to wear masks (not all of them, but most of them)? It's as if they own this place, and we are immigrants here," wrote Sophia Latjuba, quoted from Era.id.
Sophia Latjuba highlighted that this seems to be because the current condition of the COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia is increasing, especially in Java and Bali when PPKM level 4 is extended until August 2, 2021. The use of masks is one of the main health protocols that must be carried out by everyone.
