Once Acts Violating PPKM, Hotel In Kebayoran Lama Allegedly Becomes Place Of Prostitution
JAKARTA - The head of the South Jakarta Civil Service Police Unit, Ujang Harmawan, confirmed that his party was investigating information about alleged prostitution practices at a hotel in the Kebayoran Lama area.
Ujang revealed that the Satpol PP together with the South Jakarta Metro Police will conduct an inspection in the near future.
"We together with the Resort Police will investigate, if it is found (prostitution), we will write to the Tourism Office to follow up on the allegations," said Ujang Harmawan in Jakarta, as reported by Antara, Thursday, July 29.
Previously, the information on the alleged crime of prostitution was revealed after a report from the public.
"We will definitely follow up on this information," said Ujang. It is known that one of the hotels that offered massage services had been prosecuted by the South Jakarta Metro Police for violating the rules for the Implementation of Emergency Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM).
"From the results of our activities, we found one activity that we suspect violated government regulations as stated in the Minister of Home Affairs' instructions Number 15 of 2021, including Governor's Decree Number 875 of 2021," said South Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Pol Azis Andriansyah, Monday, July 5.
Azis said his party secured the hotel owner and dozens of therapists in the raid.
"After we conducted an investigation and examination, we found 15 massage therapists and managed by one manager with the initials AC," Azis added.
The perpetrators were charged with Article 93 Juncto Article 9 paragraph 1 of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 6 of 2018 concerning Health Quarantine.
Then Article 14 of the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 4 of 1984 concerning Outbreaks of Infectious Diseases carries a penalty of 1 year in prison or a maximum fine of Rp. 100 million.
