Anies Calls The Rice Social Assistance For Its Citizens The Result Of Cooperation Between Gapoktan Indramayu To Sumedang

JAKARTA - The Governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Baswedan, has begun to release trucks for distributing rice social assistance (bansos) which are distributed per day to a number of residents affected by the pandemic.

Anies said that the premium quality rice distributed was the result of collaboration with farmer groups (gapoktan) Indramayu, Karawang, Lampung, Ngawi, Garut, to Sumedang.

As a reminder, several months ago Anies often participated in the harvest in the area as a form of cooperation between the Tjipinang Jaya Food Station and Gapoktan.

"This continues what we have pioneered so far, that we invite rice-producing centers to work together and absorb the production to be utilized in Jakarta. So, on the one hand, this helps affected families in the capital, on the other hand, we work directly with Gapoktan in various regions and help move the economy of regional farmers," Anies said in his statement, Thursday, July 29.

In today's distribution of the social assistance rice, Anies released the departure of rice delivery trucks to be sent to recipient families in West Cakung and East Cakung sub-districts.

"This was distributed 5 thousand tons (rice), and there are 24 RWs that received today with a total of 25,137 families," said Anies. Anies said there were 1,007,379 beneficiary families (KPM) who received the 10 kilograms of rice assistance. They are the recipients of cash social assistance (BST) which some time ago was distributed with a value of Rp600 thousand per family.

“Starting today, they will receive 10 kg of rice per head of household that the KK receives. We hope that by providing assistance, families in Jakarta, especially those with low socioeconomic status, will be able to be helped during difficult times like now," he explained.
