Very Good! West Java Defeats DKI Jakarta For Foreign Investors, This Is The Value

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) noted that West Java is the most successful area for attracting foreign investors, especially in terms of the realization of direct investment.

It was stated that in the second quarter of 2021, West Java managed to record 1.6 billion US dollars or equivalent to Rp. 23.1 trillion (exchange rate of Rp. 14,476).

The second place is occupied by DKI Jakarta with the realization of foreign investment (PMA) of 1 billion US dollars. Then followed by North Maluku with 1 billion US dollars, Central Sulawesi with 500 million US dollars, and Riau with 400 million US dollars.

"In the midst of uncertainty due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the realization of direct investment recorded a very good performance," said Head of the Fiscal Policy Agency (BKF) of the Ministry of Finance Febrio Kacaribu in a press statement quoted on Thursday, July 29.

In total, the realization of FDI in all regions of Indonesia reached 7.99 billion US dollars or equivalent to Rp. 116.8 trillion.

Meanwhile, in terms of domestic investment (PMDN) for the same period was Rp. 106.2 trillion, which grew 12.7 percent on an annual basis (year-on-year/yoy).

For this reason, the total value of direct investment realization in the second quarter of 2021 reached IDR 223.0 trillion or grew 16.2 percent yoy.

"The investment performance in the second quarter of 2021 shows a significant improvement in absorbing investment both from within and outside the country, compared to the same period in 2020 which grew negatively," closed Febrio.
