Police Arrest Perpetrators Of Telkom Cable Theft In Medan
MEDAN - Medan City Police Criminal Investigation Unit personnel arrested a perpetrator of theft of Telkom's cable at Jalan Sisingamangaraja, Jalan HM Joni intersection, Medan, North Sumatra.
"The perpetrator who was arrested was MR (29) a resident of Jalan Brigadier General Katamso Medan," said Medan City Police Chief Kompol Rikki Ramadhan through the Criminal Investigation Unit Iptu Asrul Rambe quoted by Antara, Wednesday, July 28.
Asrul said the perpetrator was arrested by the police, Tuesday, July 27 in the morning. At that time, Medan City Police personnel were patrolling the crime scene (TKP) and saw two suspicious youths cutting Telkom's cable.
"When approached by the two young men, they immediately fled," he said.
Iptu Asrul said that the suspect MR was arrested. While his friend escaped the ambush, and is still in pursuit.
"After being examined by officers, it was found out that they were cutting Telkom's cable," he said.
From the suspect's hands, evidence was secured by one hacksaw, one machete, three cutting pliers, and one coil of cable that had been cut.
