Orphans Abandoned By Father Due To Exposure To COVID, Gibran 'Jokowi' Ensures The Education Of These 3 Children Is Guaranteed

SOLO - Solo City Government pays special attention to children whose parents died due to COVID-19. As experienced by these three children, N (16), D (14), and R (12).

At a relatively young age, the three of them had to feel the bitterness of being left by their father due to exposure to COVID-19. Mayor Gibran Rakabuming Raka said his party would help them by providing assistance for education.

"The most important thing is that we will help with education first," Gibran briefed the media crew at Solo City Hall, Wednesday, July 28.

Regarding the amount of assistance provided, the eldest son of President Jokowi did not want to go into details. But Gibran ensured that the Solo City Government would look for orphans whose families died due to COVID-19.

"But we first make sure the data, we sort it first. The task will be to the Disdukcapil and the Solo Health Office," explained Gibran.

The father of three children works as an online motorcycle taxi driver and parking attendant at a Solo City hospital. Meanwhile, his mother passed away in 2020.

All three had been in isolation due to exposure to COVID. However, their condition has improved and is now with their family.
