Men's Soccer Olympics Schedule Today, Wednesday, July 28: France, Spain, Argentina, Brazil And Germany Still Not Safe

JAKARTA - The men's soccer tournament of the Tokyo 2020 Olympics will enter the final match of the group phase and the big teams are still not in a safe position.

Quoted from Antara from the official Olympic website, Wednesday, July 28, so far only one team has made sure to qualify for the quarter-finals, namely host Japan.

In Group A, Japan will face France who need a win in order to qualify for the next phase without relying on the results of other matches.

Currently France managed to collect 3 points equal to Mexico who will face South Africa in the last match of Group A.

If in the end France fails to win over Japan, then the journey of Les Blues at the Olympics will depend on the result of Mexico vs South Africa.

In Group B, there will be competition between all the contestants because all four teams in this group have the same points, which is three points.

In the final group phase, there will be South Korea vs Honduras and Romania vs New Zealand.

These four teams still have a chance to qualify as long as they can win in their final match in Group B.

In Group C, will present one of the big matches that will bring together Spain with Argentina.

Spain is currently at the top of the group standings with 4 points, followed by Argentina with 3.

Spain only needs a draw to qualify for the quarter-finals, while Argentina must win so that it does not depend on the result of the match between Egypt vs Australia.

Egypt is required to win in the match against Australia if they still want to foster hope of qualifying for the next phase even though it looks quite heavy.

On the other hand, Australia must also win if it does not want to depend on the results of the Spain vs Argentina match.

In Group D, big teams like Brazil and Germany have also not confirmed themselves to be able to qualify for the quarter-finals if they don't win the last game.

Germany will meet a strong opponent, namely Ivory Coast, which in the previous match managed to hold Brazil to a 0 - 0 score.

Germany is currently in third place with 3 points, while Ivory Coast is in second place after collecting 4 points.

In another match, Brazil will meet the bottom of Group D, namely Saudi Arabia, who have not been able to get points at all.

Brazil currently tops the group standings with 4 points and is of course the favorite when they meet Saudi Arabia.

Even so, Brazil must remain vigilant because Saudi Arabia in its last match can provide a fierce resistance to Germany.

Although it is certain that they will not qualify, Saudi Arabia certainly does not want to be just a cheerleader at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

The following is the schedule for the third match of the Tokyo 2020 Olympics for men's soccer, Wednesday:

Germany vs Ivory Coast 15:00 WIB

Saudi Arabia vs Brazil 15:00 WIB

South Korea vs Honduras 15:30 WIB
