Tokyo Olympics Schedule Today, Wednesday 28 July

JAKARTA - The Tokyo 2020 Olympics will compete for 23 gold medals in Wednesday's competition, including two golds for the men's and women's 3x3 basketball which will be competed for the first time at the grand sporting event.

The series of 3x3 matches will begin with four semifinal matches for men and women starting at 15.00 WIB at Aomi Urban Sports Park, Tokyo, Japan, before the second session of determining the medal is played at around 18.45 WIB.

The ROC/Russia contingent was the only country to place their team in the semifinals for both men's and women's numbers.

Russia will face Serbia, who swept their seven-match elimination round, in the men's semi-final, while the other top four will see Belgium versus Latvia, which features FIBA's 3x3 number one Nauris Miezis.

While in the women's number, Russia, which qualified directly for the semifinals as the top two teams in the preliminary phase, will face China and in the other semifinal will present a grand match between the United States and France.

Indonesian lifter Rahmat Erwin Abdullah will fight in the men's 73 kg weightlifting at the Tokyo International Forum starting at 11.50 WIB and the medal fight is scheduled to take place starting at 17.50 WIB.

Rowing is the sport that has won the most gold medals this Wednesday with six, including the men's and women's team 4 which was originally scheduled to be held yesterday but had to be postponed due to weather reasons.

Four other rowing numbers will compete for gold medals starting at 07.18 WIB at Sea Forest Waterway, namely the men's and women's doubles scull and the men's and women's quartet scull.

Swimming for five gold medals this Wednesday at the Tokyo Aquatics Center starting at 08.41 WIB, namely in the women's 200m freestyle, men's 200m butterfly, women's 200m individual medley, women's 1500m freestyle and men's 4x200m freestyle relay.

Street bike races will compete for two gold medals for the individual time trial numbers for men and women at Fuji International Speedway starting at 09.30 WIB.

Two gold medals were also up for grabs for judo numbers -70 kg for women and -90 kg for men in the second session this Wednesday which is scheduled to take place from 15.00 to 17.50 WIB at Nippon Budokan.

Meanwhile, the seven men's rugby match is scheduled to play the final starting at 16.00 WIB at the Tokyo Stadium, bringing together the winners of the semifinals of New Zealand vs. Great Britain and Argentina vs. Fiji which were held a few hours earlier.
