Defeated 2-6 To German Archers, Arif Dwi Pangestu Excluded In Tokyo Olympic Archery Elimination Round
JAKARTA - Indonesian archer Arif Dwi Pangestu has not been able to go further in the men's individual archery competition after being eliminated in the elimination round of the last 32 of the Tokyo Olympics.
Competing at the Yumenoshima Final Field, Tuesday, Arif lost 6-2 to German archer Unruh Florian, according to official Olympic records.
Of the four sets of matches, Arif only excelled in the second set. He recorded a score of 24, 28, 24, 25, while Unruh scored 28, 26, 28, 27.
With the elimination of Arif, the Indonesian archery team now leaves Diananda Choirunisa who will compete in the women's individual number, and Riau Ega Salsabilla and Alviyanto Bagas Prastyadi for the men's individual number who will appear on Thursday (29/7).
Previously, the Indonesian archery team had not been able to go further in the mixed team and men's team events.
The men's team team lost 0-6 to Great Britain in the round of 16 elimination, while the mixed team team represented by Riau Ega Salsabilla and Diananda Choirunisa was stopped in the quarter-finals after being eliminated by the Turkish pair, Mete Gazoz/Yasemin Anagoz.
