Receives Oxygen Cylinder Grant, Anies Prefers Distributing It To Health Centers Instead Of Hospitals
JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan said hundreds of oxygen cylinders given by the Metro Jaya Police Chief would be distributed to puskesmas. Especially, the puskesmas that monitor the community's self-isolation activities.
"So now it's very likely that we will conduct (distribution) at the Puskesmas-Puskesmas and also by the Puskesmas for residents who are monitored while undergoing Independent Isolation (Isoman), but the control is by our Puskesmas," said Anies at Monas, Central Jakarta, Tuesday, July 27. .
The selection of the Puskesmas as the recipient of hundreds of oxygen cylinders was not without reason. Anies did not deny that many hospitals also needed oxygen tubes.
However, the oxygen cylinder facilities at the hospital are different from those provided by the Metro Jaya Police Chief.
"This way, we will use it later. Because this tube is mobile, so it can be used in places where the oxygen installation is not a permanent distribution installation. Some hospitals have already used permanent installations," said Anies.
In addition, the hospital which had previously stated that it needed it was due to not having a supply of mobile oxygen cylinders. Moreover, the number of COVID-19 patients has increased dramatically.
"Yesterday, the hospital needed oxygen cylinders, because the number of patients was higher than usual," said Anies.
Previously, it was reported that the Metro Jaya Police Chief Inspector General Fadil Imran handed over 138 oxygen cylinders to the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov). Hundreds of oxygen cylinders were the result of the disclosure of a crime.
The hundreds of oxygen cylinders are evidence of the disclosure of cases of sales above the Highest Retail Price (HET). The delivery of oxygen cylinders has gone through the applicable legal process.
This means that hundreds of items of evidence have been recorded in the minutes of examination (BAP). Then, the evidence was auctioned and handed over to the DKI Provincial Government.
"So that the form can be fulfilled, the evidence will be set aside and BAP will be used as substitute evidence, we will conduct an auction and then PT BNI is willing to buy it, it will be handed over to the Regional Police, then we will hand it over to the Governor," said Fadil.
