To Anies Baswedan, Police Chief Fadil Imran Hands Over 138 Confiscated Oxygen Cylinders To Fight COVID-19

JAKARTA - Metro Jaya Police Chief Inspector General Fadil Imran handed over 138 oxygen cylinders to the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov). Hundreds of oxygen cylinders were the result of the disclosure of a crime.

"Together with the governor (Anies Baswedan), the military commander, Kajati and the head of the DKI Jakarta Court. We handed over 138 tubes of various sizes," Fadil told reporters at Monas, Central Jakarta, Tuesday, July 27.

The hundreds of oxygen cylinders are evidence of the disclosure of cases of sales above the Highest Retail Price (HET). The delivery of oxygen cylinders has gone through the applicable legal process.

This means that hundreds of items of evidence have been recorded in the minutes of examination (BAP). Then, the evidence was auctioned and handed over to the DKI Provincial Government.

"So that the form can be fulfilled, the evidence will be set aside and BAP will be used as substitute evidence, we will conduct an auction and then PT BNI is willing to buy it, it will be handed over to the Regional Police, then we will hand it over to the Governor," said Fadil.

The delivery of hundreds of oxygen cylinders, continued Fadil, was because they were urgently needed to deal with COVID-19. Moreover, in some hospitals the availability has started to run out.

"So that it can be useful for people in Jakarta who are currently suffering from COVID-19 and need oxygen assistance, we received these items and we will immediately use them for health facilities in treating patients at their place or where they monitor patients. in their homes," said Fadil.
