Vocalist Judas Priest Praises Scientists And Rapid Technological Developments To Find A COVID-19 Vaccine

JAKARTA - The vocalist of metal group Judas Priest, Rob Halford, has shared some wise advice about the COVID-19 pandemic. The British metal god is urging his fans to listen to scientists rather than politicians about the pandemic.

COVID-19 has killed the planet for over a year, and with the highly contagious Delta variant spreading at an alarming rate, countries have been put on lockdown once again. In the United States, nearly 50 percent of the population is fully vaccinated against COVID-19, but hospitalizations are currently increasing.

According to Dr. Rochelle Walensky, Director of the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), more than 97 percent of people currently hospitalized for COVID-19 are not vaccinated, while US Surgeon General Dr. Vivek Murthy said 99.5 percent of deaths from COVID-19 were among the unvaccinated.

“Listen to scientists, not politicians,” Rob Halford said in a new interview with the All Exce$$ podcast. "Every one of us has been affected by this pandemic. Everyone on this planet has, in one way or another, been affected, and we all have to make the necessary safety changes that we need to make."

Rob Halford also praised scientists in all their limitations for being able to take advantage of existing technology to work more effectively to create vaccines to fight the COVID-19 virus.

“Given the gravity of this pandemic, the way scientists have worked so effectively and brilliantly to get a vaccine so quickly, is incredible. It's really amazing the way technology has developed so rapidly and they do a lot of these things on computers — DNA and viruses, blah blah blah. It's a blessing that this vaccine can be made so quickly discovered," Rob was quoted as saying by loudwire.

For this reason, Rob asked all his fans to listen more to the advice of scientists and doctors than politicians.
