TNI Commander Asks Boyolali COVID-19 Self-Isolation Patients To Move To Hajj Donohudan Dormitory

JAKARTA - The government has isolated the COVID-19 patient at the Haji Donohudan Dormitory in Boyolali, East Java since late 2020. The majority of patients isolated in the Haji Donohudan Dormitory are categorized as asymptomatic (OTG).

TNI Commander Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto appealed to residents who were confirmed positive for COVID-19 to undergo isolation at the Haji Donohudan Dormitory.

As for the way that can be done to "promote" this centralized isolation location by means of "talk of words". If interpreted from the Javanese language, it means "mouth to mouth".

"Tell your friends. If anyone has symptoms from the PCR or antigen swab results, just come here. Yes, like that. Word of mouth like that. Delivered," Hadi said while reviewing the Donohudan Hajj Dormitory, Sunday, July 25.

Hadi said that Boyolali residents could convey chain messages to other colleagues who happened to be self-isolating at home and had mild symptoms, so that they would be willing to be treated at the Haji Donohudan Dormitory.

In addition to aiming to better ensure safety and health, said Hadi, intensive care in a centralized isolation area can also prevent and reduce the fatality rate.

In addition, to reduce the number of deaths due to COVID-19, Hadi has also asked Babinsa and Bhabinkamtibmas, assisted by the local Health Service along with Forkopimda elements to routinely control people who are self-isolating at home.

"So that patients can be handled properly and the death rate from COVID-19 can be suppressed," he said. Furthermore, Hadi ensured that the distribution of medicines to the Haji Donohudan Dormitory to support the recovery of COVID-19 patients had been conditioned.

"Medicines have been given yes. It's safe. This is a manifestation of how this country is here to help, protect and ensure the safety of the people," Hadi said.

It is known, as of Sunday, July 25, the accumulated number of patients who had been treated at the Haji Donohudan Dormitory had reached 4,773 people, 4,413 people returned home and 74 people were referred.

The capacity of the centralized isolation area of the Donohudan Hajj Dormitory is 684 in the Makkah Building. Currently, there are as many as 286 people who are undergoing treatment.
