Good News From NTT, Total Patients Recovered From COVID-19 Increases To 24,240 People
JAKARTA - The number of COVID-19 patients in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Province who have been declared cured has increased by 325 to a total of 24,240 people, according to data from the local COVID-19 Handling Acceleration Task Force on Saturday, July 24.
"Praise God the number of recovered COVID-19 patients in NTT continues to grow. On Saturday 325 patients were declared cured of the Coronavirus infection", Spokesperson for the Task Force for the Acceleration of Handling COVID-19 in NTT Province, Marius Ardu Jelamu, told reporters in Kupang, quoted by Antara, Sunday, July 25.
He detailed that additional COVID-19 patients who recovered include those from Southwest Sumba Regency (2), Nagekeo Regency (3), Malaka Regency (8), Lembata Regency (17), Kupang City (30), Ende Regency (39 ), Kupang Regency (52), Rote Ndao Regency (54), and West Manggarai Regency (58).
In addition, he continued, there were 31 recovered COVID-19 patients each from East Flores Regency and Sabu Raijua Regency.
Marius said that on Saturday, July 24 848 residents were confirmed to be infected with COVID-19 so that the cumulative number of residents who had been stricken with the disease since the beginning of the pandemic until now is 36,015 people in NTT.

According to him, the number of patients who died from the disease that attacks the respiratory tract increased by 10 to a total of 693 people.
He added, there were 11,082 people with COVID-19 who were still undergoing medical treatment and self-isolation.
Marius said the East Nusa Tenggara Provincial Government encouraged district/city governments to tighten the implementation of community activity restrictions (PPKM) to control the transmission of COVID-19.
In addition, the government continues to carry out other countermeasures such as checking, tracking, and handling cases; enforcement of health protocols; and implementation of the COVID-19 vaccination.
