Xiaomi Coming Soon Foldable Screen Smartphone

JAKARTA - The Xiaomi cellphone manufacturer is alleged to be releasing its first folding screen smartphone soon. This rumor has been seen, since Xiaomi registered a patent document for its cellphone design, in 2019.

As reported by GSM Arena, based on its patent documents, Xiaomi will adopt a folding screen design in the style of the Huawei Mate X. This model is believed to be a new device from Xiaomi's smartphone.

Although at first glance it looks similar, Xiaomi makes a little difference. Xiaomi uses a four camera configuration arranged vertically on the back.

For the front view, Xiaomi will adopt a flexible display panel. Meanwhile, on the right side of the cellphone body there are two physical buttons to turn on the device (power) and a volume adjustment button.

The bottom is embedded with several devices such as speakers, SIM card slot, microphone and USB Type-C port for charging. In addition to the camera configuration, the Xiaomi folding screen phone design will also include a special slot to accommodate the stylus pen.

It is not certain whether Xiaomi will seriously work on its folding screen cellphone. Moreover, the patented design that is registered is different from the cellphone concept that Xiaomi has exhibited.

Where Xiaomi adopts a foldable cellphone screen with two flexible hinges. At that time, the name that was predicted by Xiaomi was Mi Fold, because it allowed users to fold their cellphones like an envelope.

On the other hand, Xiaomi also has an experimental product, namely Mi Mix Alpha, which presents a full-panel Surround screen mobile phone design. The concept of this phone makes the Mi Mix Alpha almost without bezels or body edges.

I don't know which one will be adopted by Xiaomi as its new device. Moreover, other rumors say that Xiaomi will present a folding screen phone at a much cheaper price than the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip and Galaxy Fold.
