When To Return To Indonesia, Shin Tae-yong?

JAKARTA - The coach of the Indonesian national team (national team), Shin Tae-yong, cannot confirm when he will return to Indonesia. According to him, there has been no call from the Indonesian Football Association (PSSI).

Reportedly, PSSI has asked Shin and the national team coach team to return to Indonesia. The reason is, the Garuda squad will undergo the 2022 Asian Zone World Cup Qualification match in October.

"The Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) said that if COVID-10 is in a stable phase in Indonesia and Korea, they will call us," said Shin when interviewed by Korean media Yonhap.

Shin said that he and the coaching staff had already tested in Korea. Currently, they are in good health and free from COVID-19.

Currently, Shin and other Indonesian national team coaches are in Korea. They left Indonesia on April 4 after the worsening of the COVID-19 cases in the country.

Even though he was far from the players, Shin admitted that he was still monitoring developments. He also continues to provide training programs for the players to do at home.

"We continue to improve the skills of players through training from home and checking their condition and physique," concluded Shin.
