Facebook Cross Platform Feature With Google Photos

JAKARTA - Recently, Facebook has improved the photo sorting capabilities of its services. Now Facebook users can transfer photos or videos on the platform via Google Photos.

Reported by The Verge, since last year, Facebook and Google have been exploring a collaborative project between platforms. Where this service has been tested on a limited basis for Facebook users in the United States and Canada.

After going through a series of trials, this cross-platform feature will soon be available to users globally. Thus, Facebook users can upload photos more practically.

This cross-platform feature allows Facebook to back up photo collections from its social media pages to Google Photos. Moreover, Facebook user accounts are integrated with Google.

To activate this feature, users can simply log into their Facebook account, and search for 'settings' settings to enter the 'Your Facebook Information' page. After that the user will be presented with the option to "Transfer a copy of your photos or videos".

From this link, Facebook will ask the user to enter a password and the location of the photo file to be taken, in this case Google Photos. Facebook will automatically add a storage list from the photos in Google Photos.

Not only Google, Apple is also rumored to be participating in this inter-platform cooperation program. It's just that Facebook has not confirmed when Apple will participate.
