Had Stress Difficulty Breathing When Exposure To COVID-19, Gorontalo Governor Remembered The Message Apply Eucalyptus Oil To The Nose

GORONTALO - Gorontalo Governor Rusli Habibie announced that he and his wife Idah Syahidah have tested positive for COVID-19.

"Because my doctor, aides and people close to me were exposed, I asked for a PCR swab. The results on July 21, Wednesday night, around 19.30, my mother and I tested positive," said Rusli via the Provincial Government Public Relations Facebook account. Gorontalo quoted from Antara, Friday, July 23.

As soon as he found out that he and his wife's swab results were positive, the governor immediately asked a team of doctors to do a physical examination.

According to him, the results of the oxygen saturation examination were at 97 or normal, including a CT scan of the lungs. He and his wife were only asked to self-isolate while waiting for the results of the PCR test to be negative.

"That night I was stressed so it was a bit difficult to breathe. I remember the message from the Governor of Maluku and the former Danrem 133 to rub eucalyptus oil into my nose. It was quite spicy, but quite helpful," he said.

Rusli filled his self-isolation period by exercising at home and continuing to lead meetings with heads of offices virtually.

Previously, there were two aides, one public relations personnel, one personal doctor and a number of officers from the governor's official residence who were exposed to COVID-19.

Until now, said Rusli, all of them are in good health or without symptoms and are undergoing centralized isolation in facilities owned by the provincial government.
