TNI-Polri Help Repair Residents' Houses Damaged By Brawls In Medan
MEDAN - TNI-Polri officers helped repair houses and church buildings damaged by the brawl and looting of a group of mobs in Medan Belawan District, Medan City, North Sumatra.
"Today, we are jointly repairing the houses of residents who were damaged by the hurling. There are five houses of residents," said Belawan Port Police Chief AKBP Muhammad Dayan quoted by Antara, Thursday, July 22.
It also provided assistance in the form of groceries to residents affected by the brawl.
"We also help clean up the remnants of the clashes," he said.
AKBP Dayan confirmed that his party had coordinated with a number of community, religious and youth leaders to prevent brawls.
"For now, conditions have started to be conducive," he said.
Previously, a brawl led to the destruction and looting of a number of houses in Medan Belawan District on Wednesday, July 21 in the early hours of the morning.
In this incident, the police arrested six people suspected of being the main perpetrators in the brawl and looting.
The identities of the six perpetrators were MS (17), K (17), RA (17), AP (17), AA (14), and BWB (31). One person with the initials BS is still being chased.
