Listen! These Are The Four Considerations That The Government Considers To Relax The Tightening Of Community Activities During The COVID-19 Pandemic
JAKARTA - The Head of the Expert Team for the COVID-19 Handling Task Force, Prof. Wiku Adisasmito, stated four considerations for the government to implement a policy of relaxing the tightening of community activities during the COVID-19 pandemic.
"The considerations taken by the Indonesian government have included four components of consideration for relaxation of community activities set by WHO," said Wiku Adisasmito when delivering a statement to reporters monitored via the Zoom application in Jakarta, reported by Antara, Thursday, July 22.
According to him, the first consideration is the calculation of cases and epidemiological indicators in which the number of bed occupancy and the addition of daily positive cases continues to decline and sets the conditions for concessions by looking at the development of cases in the future.
The second consideration is the capacity of two-way health system management, including strengthening public and private health facilities by converting beds, building emergency and field hospitals, as well as partnerships with telemedicine service providers, said Wiku.
The third consideration, said Wiku, is the aspirations and behavior of the community, which can be seen from the decline in mobility and complaints from the public to immediately relax the tight restrictions for the past month.
The fourth consideration is the socio-economic impact, especially for people with lower middle incomes and micro-enterprises.

Wiku said the government continued to monitor the implementation of the Policy for the Enforcement of Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM), which had been going on since July 3, 2021.
"If the trend of COVID-19 cases has decreased, then the relaxation of PPKM will be carried out gradually starting July 26, 2021," he said.
Wiku reminded the public that the relaxation policy does not mean removing restrictions like going back to the early days before the COVID-19 pandemic occurred.
"However, gradually and carefully towards a new normal life, at the same time ready if it is necessary to do more tightening," he said.
According to natural history, said Wiku, evaluation of violations can be observed after the 10th to the 14th day. "The public is requested to remain vigilant so that conditions remain under control and relaxation can be carried out properly," he said.
