Mayor Of Bogor Called By Jokowi To Discuss Handling COVID-19
BOGOR - Bogor Mayor Bima Arya Sugiarto was summoned by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) to the Bogor Palace. Bima Arya was asked to explain about the development of handling COVID-19 in Bogor City.

According to Bima Arya, at the meeting he submitted a report on the steps to deal with COVID-19 in Bogor City, from upstream to downstream.
To President Joko Widodo, Bima Arya conveyed that the Bogor City COVID-19 Handling Task Force focused on residents who were positive for COVID-19 and undergoing self-isolation at home.
"There were dozens of people who underwent isomanism and died. I conveyed that 85 percent of the isoman people who died had not been vaccinated. This data also confirms that the vaccine is effective," he said.
Bima Arya also stated that the Bogor City COVID-19 Task Force had formed volunteers to monitor residents undergoing isomanism, including strengthening logistical assistance for residents undergoing isomanism and residents who were economically affected.
According to Bima, President Joko Widodo stated that the steps to deal with COVID-19 in the City of Bogor were in line with the central government's policy steps that focused on helping the poor and economically exposed residents.
In the downstream handling step, Bima Arya conveyed suggestions, suggestions, and requests to President Jokowi, related to the need for health workers, oxygen, and medicines.
"I see that the President has a plan to accelerate the supply of oxygen by importing. Imports are also not easy, because they have to compete with other countries in need," he said.
According to Bima Arya, the President also stated that the oxygen crisis should be resolved immediately, so that areas in need do not need to be constantly worried.
In addition, it was also reported that the distribution of cash social assistance (BST) from the central government for 72,000 families of Bogor City residents registered with the Integrated Social Welfare Data (DTKS), and for 77,500 Bogor City residents registered on Non-DTKS.
