JABAR - The Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) has officially appointed the Chief Executive of West Java (Jabar) BPBD Dani Ramdan as the Acting Regent of Bekasi to fill the vacancy after Regent Eka Supria Atmaja died last Sunday, July 11.
The policy is contained in the Decree of the Minister of Home Affairs Number 131.32-1374 which was stipulated in Jakarta, Wednesday, July 21 regarding the Appointment of the Acting Regent of Bekasi and was followed up with a letter from the Director General of Regional Autonomy to the Governor of West Java containing instructions for the inauguration of the Acting Regent of Bekasi.
"According to the instructions, we have scheduled the inauguration tomorrow, the time is not certain depending on the schedule of the Governor," said Head of the Governance Section at the West Java Regional Secretariat Government and Cooperation Bureau, Mochammad Imam Yunizar quoted from Antara, Wednesday, July 21.
The inauguration is planned to be carried out in two schemes, namely virtual and directly at the West Java Governor's Office House and or the West Java BPBD Office. "While the location is in between because Gedung Sate is still closed, it's still on lockdown," he said.
After being sworn in, he said, Dani Ramdan was able to carry out his new duties as the Acting Regent of Bekasi in addition to remaining in his position as the Executive Head of the West Java Province BPBD.
Imam stated that according to the Minister of Home Affairs' decision, Dani Ramdan will occupy the position of Acting Regent of Bekasi for a maximum of one year from being sworn in tomorrow.
"The period according to the rules is a year, but it could be less because in March 2022 his term of office ends, if it is finished it can be extended and a new official can also be replaced, how about the Minister of Home Affairs through the Governor," he said.
Meanwhile, Dani Ramdan admitted that he would soon carry out his duties as the Acting Regent of Bekasi to fix problems in the area after he was sworn in.
"If the inauguration is still noon, it means I can immediately go to Bekasi, if it is too late, it means Friday I will go to Bekasi. I am waiting for directions from the Governor first," he said.
